Storm Damage Repair in Midwest City

After hail or a hard wind, we walk your roof slope by slope, photograph every bruise, crease and missing shingle, and explain what we found in plain terms. Then we repair your home with materials matched to what is already there.

Careful repairs after hail and wind

Storm damage is not always obvious from the driveway. Hail can bruise a shingle and loosen its granules without leaving a hole, and wind can break the seal strip so a tab lifts in the next gust. Those problems show up months later as leaks, often after the insurance window has narrowed.

Our work starts with an inspection and an honest read of it. We tell you which damage is cosmetic and which will let water in, whether a repair will hold or the roof has reached the point for roof replacement, and what we would do on our own house. Spring storms across central Oklahoma bring hail and straight-line wind in the same week, so we look for both on every visit.

What the repair includes

The whole roof, every face

We check every side, including the faces turned away from the storm. Shingles, ridge caps, flashing, vents, pipe boots and skylights are all examined up close.

Photos with notes

Each damaged area is photographed and explained in a short note. Many homeowners forward these to their insurance company.

Shingle and flashing replacement

Torn, creased or missing shingles come off and new ones go on, and bent flashing is reset or replaced with fresh metal. We look for shingles close to your current profile and color.

The wood beneath

Anywhere shingles blew off, we inspect the decking before anything new goes down. Sheathing that is stained or gives underfoot is replaced, then covered with new underlayment.

Gutters and soft metals

We note and fix dented downspouts, open seams and flattened vent caps. If a storm tore off a full run, our gutters page explains the bigger job.

Temporary cover

When a section has to wait on materials, we secure a tarp over it so your home stays dry until we return.

Signs a storm damaged your roof

  • Granules in the gutters

Grit that looks like coarse sand piling up where the downspouts empty is often shingle coating knocked loose by hailstones. It means the shingles were struck hard enough to shed some of their protection.

  • Dents on soft metal

Dings on vent caps, gutters or the AC unit show hail size. If the metal is marked, the shingles likely are too.

  • Lifted or missing shingles

Shingles on the ground or tabs that flap in the wind point to broken seals. They tend to fail in the next storm.

  • New ceiling stains

A brown ring or damp spot after rain means water is already getting past the roof.

  • Damage on neighboring roofs

If crews are working on houses around you, your roof saw the same storm. A close look tells you whether it held.

From first call to finished roof

  1. 1

    We start on the phone

Tell us when the storm came through and what you have noticed, whether that is a stain on the ceiling or shingles in the grass. We settle on a time to visit.

  2. 2

    Inspection and a sit-down

We get on the roof, record the damage and then go over it with you. The photos come before any recommendation.

  3. 3

    Line-item scope

Your written estimate lists each repair and the reason for it. If you are filing a claim, that scope gives you something concrete to discuss with your adjuster.

  4. 4

    The work itself

We cover plantings and siding, strip the damaged materials, check the decking, then lay new underlayment, shingles and flashing. Most storm repairs wrap up in a single day.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and final look

A magnetic sweep picks up stray nails, the debris leaves with us, and we walk you through the finished roof with after photos.

What sets the price of a storm repair

The price comes down to how much of the roof the storm touched and what condition the materials beneath it are in. We write the estimate only after the inspection, so each line ties back to a photo and a note. If you have a claim open, we walk you through how our scope lines up with it, while the payout itself stays with your adjuster.

How far the damage reaches
Wind that peeled back a handful of shingles on a single face of the roof means a modest repair. When hail has marked every face, the cost climbs, and replacing the roof may make more sense than patching it.
Finding matching shingles
Discontinued lines and older shingles take more effort to match. Tracking down a similar profile and color can add both lead time and material cost.
What the decking looks like
Plywood that is soaked or spongy has to be cut out and replaced. The amount is only clear once the old shingles are up, and we show you any bad sections before we swap them.
Pitch and height
A steep or tall roof calls for extra safety equipment and a slower pace on the surface.
Metal and roof accessories
Damaged flashing, vents, skylights or gutters each widen the scope of the job.

Common questions after a storm

Something not covered here? (405) 357-9639

Do I contact my insurer before having the roof looked at?

You can do it in either order. Many homeowners prefer an inspection first, since our photos and notes make clear whether the damage is real and worth filing on. We will explain how the claim process usually goes, but we do not act as your adjuster or negotiate the claim for you.

How soon after a storm should someone check my roof?

The weeks right after the storm are the best time. A cracked seal or bruised shingle can start letting water in with the next rain. Most policies also limit how long you have to report damage, so a long wait can narrow your choices.

Is a partial repair possible, or will I need a whole new roof?

Plenty of storm repairs cover only part of the roof, particularly when wind hit one side. If hail has damaged most of the surface, we will say plainly that patching will not last and show you why. Our roof replacement page explains that work.

Will the replacement shingles look the same as the rest?

We get as close as we can on brand, profile and color. A roof that has weathered for years will usually show a slight difference, and we point that out before any work starts.

Do you take storm jobs outside Midwest City?

Yes. We repair storm damage in Del City, Choctaw, Oklahoma City, Moore, Norman and other towns nearby. The service areas page has the full list.

Know where your roof stands after the storm
